Assessment on arrival

First, we take a case history and carry out medical checks and video otoscopy. Then you see your ear canal on our live screen before we start.

Removal, 15–20 minutes

We use endoscopic microsuction, irrigation or manual removal, depending on which is safest for your ears on the day. Microsuction is also painless and dry.

Re-check and aftercare

We use tympanometry to confirm your eardrum is moving correctly, and then give you clear advice on preventing build-up. As a result, you leave hearing again.

Transparent Pricing

There are no hidden fees. If we find no wax, we give you guidance and next steps for the £20 consultation fee alone. Children’s ear wax removal (5–10 years) costs £80. In addition, home visits start from £80 for housebound patients.

An HCPC-registered audiologist carries out every procedure in a purpose-built clinical room, rather than a rented pharmacy back room. We also use single-use instruments and ENT-grade endoscopes.

If your symptoms turn out not to be wax, on-site tympanometry helps identify middle-ear causes. We then arrange a referral to your GP or ENT.

Can I really be seen today?

Most patients can. Online slots update live, but if nothing suits, call us in the morning. We run four to five microsuction clinics a day, so we try hard to fit same-day ear wax removal patients in.

No. We work under a surgical endoscope, so you don’t need drops beforehand. However, if your audiologist thinks drops would help afterwards, they will advise you and rebook you free of charge.

You only pay the £20 consultation fee. However, we will still assess your ears and run a tympanometry check if needed. We also arrange a GP or ENT referral if something else is causing your symptoms.

No. It is a dry procedure that we carry out under direct endoscopic vision, and it typically takes 10–20 minutes. In fact, most patients describe it as noisy rather than uncomfortable.

Yes. Children’s ear wax removal is a specialised procedure, so only our experienced audiologists carry it out. Because a child’s ear canal has a smaller diameter, it takes a significant level of experience to remove ear wax safely and effectively.

Yes. We offer home visits from £80 in selected areas for housebound patients or those with reduced mobility. In addition, we use the same equipment and infection-control procedures as in clinic.
