Ear wax removal in Solihull at our Knowle clinic, with same-day endoscopic microsuction by HCPC-registered audiologists. We also offer clear pricing and free parking, and you don’t need a GP referral.
When you visit The Treatment Rooms on Warwick Road, Knowle, we clear blocked ears in a single visit. First, we examine your ear canal under direct endoscopic vision. Then we remove the wax with the method that is safest for your ears. Finally, we show you the result on screen before you leave.
We equipped our Knowle clinic rooms especially for ear care. As a result, you get a clean, private and properly lit clinical setting for your procedure.
Microsuction is the safest way to remove impacted ear wax from any ear canal, in line with NICE guidelines. Unlike the older ear syringing method, it is a dry procedure, so no water goes into the ear canal. As a result, it is ideal for patients who have had grommets or previous ear operations. However, all our practitioners can also use manual instrumentation and water irrigation if microsuction is not suitable.
An HCPC-registered audiologist, not a technician, carries out every procedure at our Solihull clinic. In fact, our lead clinicians have three decades of experience across ear care, diagnostic audiology and hearing aid prescribing. They also have thousands of wax removals behind them. Because we are fully independent, no manufacturer or brand influences our advice. Instead, we simply recommend what is right for your ears. HCPC registration number: HAD00756.
We also see patients from Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Henley-in-Arden and across south Warwickshire. There is no catchment area, and you also don’t need a referral.
Danish joined our Streetly practice in 2024 as our resident Hearing Aid Dispenser. Before that, he gained extensive experience across the major high street chains. As a result, he knows what good independent care should look like.
Danish was already very experienced in microsuction before he joined us. He then completed our in-house endoscopic microsuction training.
Alongside his clinical work, Danish also heads our training programme, teaching doctors and nurses best practice in microsuction ear wax removal.
Our patients value his attentiveness, thoroughness and straightforward, reassuring approach.
Away from the clinic, Danish is a keen padel player. He is currently working on his footwork, although he’ll happily tell you it is still very much in progress.

Yes, we also offer ear irrigation. Some patients prefer water irrigation, especially if there is a contraindication with microsuction. During this procedure, we introduce warm saline solution into the ear canal using a temperature-regulated, CE-marked irrigation unit.
Microsuction uses a small suction pen to gently remove ear wax from the ear canal. It is the gold-standard procedure because we can see the ear canal clearly while we work. As a result, it reduces the risk of infection or putting any pressure on the eardrum.
A few drops of olive oil for 1 to 2 days beforehand usually helps, since softer wax lifts out more easily. However, some patients prefer not to use ear drops, because they find drops block their ears completely. If you are unsure, call our practitioners beforehand. We are always happy to advise on a case-by-case basis.
In most cases, yes. In fact, microsuction is usually the preferred method for exactly these patients, because no water enters the ear. We also always take a comprehensive case history, so we can make sure we choose the correct procedure. Endoscopic microsuction is especially good for complex cases, such as patients who have had ear operations or surgery. That is because it gives a far better view compared to traditional viewing methods.
